Reusable Copper Bath Pouch
An elemental addition to your Stillness ritual.
Copper has been used by humans for thousands of years and remains fascinating for reasons that go far beyond its appearance. Copper surfaces have well-established antimicrobial activity, while copper itself is an essential trace element involved in numerous biological processes.
Ground is a separate little bag. Inside it: solid copper spheres, and nothing else. No herbs, no flowers, no blend. It sits in the bath water beside your bath tea, then comes back out and stays with you.
Pair it with Release, Deep, Soothe or Breathe.

The Bath Tea
A larger botanical sachet of dried herbs and flowers. It steeps in the water and is used for one bath.

The Copper Bath Pouch
A much smaller natural-fiber pouch holding solid copper spheres, and nothing else. It is removed after the bath and kept for the next one.
Why copper?
Naturally antimicrobial material
Copper has well-documented antimicrobial properties. Research and EPA testing standards demonstrate that qualifying copper surfaces reduce microorganisms that contact the copper surface.
An essential element
Copper is an essential trace mineral used throughout the human body. It participates in enzymes and biological processes involving connective tissue, energy metabolism and other normal physiological functions.
Connected to collagen + elastin biology
Copper plays a role in the formation and stabilization of collagen and elastin. Research using copper-containing materials and copper ions has also investigated copper's interaction with skin and tissue processes.
Reusable ritual
Unlike the botanical Bath Tea sachet, which is used for one bath, the solid copper spheres are intended to remain part of your ritual. Remove the pouch after the bath, rinse it, dry it thoroughly and store it completely dry for the next use.
Copper changes with time
Real copper naturally darkens and develops patina through oxidation and exposure to its environment. That is part of owning a real elemental material, not a flaw. Yours will not stay permanently polished.
How to use
- 01
Choose your Stillness Bath Tea.
- 02
Place the Bath Tea sachet in warm bath water.
- 03
Add the separate Copper Bath Pouch to the water.
- 04
Bathe normally.
- 05
Remove the Copper Bath Pouch when finished.
- 06
Rinse and dry the pouch and copper completely before storing.
Pair your copper
The Copper Bath Pouch works with every Bath Tea in the Stillness collection. Choose the soak you want, and let the copper sit in the water beside it.
Release
Botanical bath tea for tired + tense bodies.
Deep
Botanical bath tea for deep relaxation and nighttime rituals.
Soothe
Botanical bath tea for dry + sensitive-feeling skin.

The science
Learn about copper
What copper is known to do, and what has actually been shown about bathing with solid copper. Those are two different things, and we keep them separate.
What copper itself is known to do+
Copper is an essential trace element in human nutrition. The body uses it in enzymes involved in energy metabolism, iron handling, connective-tissue formation and other normal physiological processes. Separately, solid copper is a naturally antimicrobial material: microorganisms that land on a copper surface are reduced over time through contact with that surface.
The antimicrobial testing standard+
The claim that a copper surface is antimicrobial is not vague marketing, it has a formal testing method. The US EPA publishes a protocol for evaluating the antimicrobial activity of hard, nonporous copper-containing surfaces, and products that carry that kind of claim are tested against it. Those tests are performed on qualifying copper surfaces under laboratory conditions, not on bath water.
Copper, collagen and elastin+
Copper participates in the enzyme chemistry that forms and stabilizes collagen and elastin, the proteins that give skin and connective tissue structure and stretch. Published research on skin and the extracellular matrix generally uses copper ions, copper peptides or copper-oxide materials applied directly, which is a different situation from copper spheres sitting in a tub of water.
What has actually been demonstrated from bathing with solid copper+
Honestly: not much. We are not aware of good evidence that placing solid copper in bath water delivers meaningful copper to the skin, changes the water, or produces any health effect. The established science is about copper as a nutrient and about copper as an antimicrobial surface. We offer the Copper Bath Pouch as an elemental ritual object, not as a treatment, and we are not going to pretend the research says otherwise.
