Why babassu melts in faster than coconut oil
Babassu and coconut are cousins, but their “personalities” feel totally different on skin. Here’s why:
1. Smaller fatty acids
Babassu’s lauric and myristic acids are lighter, so they glide through the upper skin layers instead of hanging out on top. Coconut has more capric and caprylic acids that like to sit on the surface a little longer.
